POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking an experienced payroll & benefits professional to manage the workflow and processes for payroll and benefits for a 200+ employee financial services company with staff at the Indianapolis headquarters and a growing population of internally based employees.
Duties and Responsibilities: All aspects of payroll processing to include payroll entry, general ledger and reporting Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely Understanding of employer paid benefits (Med/Den/Vision, 401k, STD, LTD, and Life) Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance Develop ad hoc reporting as needed
Minimum Requirements 4-6 years experience processing payroll (ideally for at least 200 employees) Working knowledge of payroll best practices. Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations. Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel . Working knowledge of Paychex preferred A track record of behavior reflecting the highest level of integrity and professionalism Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
